Sawfa Terms of Service

In short: Sawfa is free, with no ads, no purchases and no account. What you save stays on your phone and is not backed up, so if you uninstall Sawfa or lose your phone, your saved links are gone. The pages and pictures Sawfa shows belong to their owners and are shown only to you, and Sawfa is not affiliated with the apps and sites it shows. Reminders depend on your phone and can be late. The app is provided “as is”, and these terms are governed by the laws of Jordan.

1. Acceptance

These terms are an agreement between you and Sawfa (“we”), made by Abutir (Hatim Abu Tir), Jordan, and reachable at sawfa@abutir.com. You accept them by installing or using the Sawfa app or the website https://sawfa.abutir.com. Our Privacy Policy at https://sawfa.abutir.com/privacy explains how we handle your data.

2. The service

Sawfa saves the links you share to it from other apps, shows each one with its title, picture and source, and reminds you until you open, clear or delete it. You choose when the first reminder comes, how often it repeats and your quiet hours. Saving, your lists and reminders work offline; loading titles and pictures needs the internet. Sawfa is a reminder tool, not an archive: opened and cleared links stay in History for 30 days, then are removed.

3. Who can use Sawfa

  • You must be at least 13 to use Sawfa.
  • Sawfa has no accounts. What you save lives on your phone, and you are responsible for your phone and for keeping a copy of any link you cannot afford to lose.

4. Fair use

Do not use Sawfa to break the law or another person’s rights, to attack or overload websites, to scrape or bulk download from them, or to remove Sawfa’s licence notices, or copy, modify or resell the app, except as the open-source licences of its parts allow.

5. Your data

What you save stays on your phone, and the links and your settings are yours. You can delete any link at any time, and uninstalling Sawfa or clearing its storage in Android settings removes everything. Deleted data cannot be restored, because we do not hold a copy and Sawfa turns off Android backup. The Privacy Policy explains what your phone sends to the sites of the links you save.

6. Plans and payments

Sawfa is free. It has no purchases, subscriptions or paid features, and we do not take payment details. If we ever offer something paid, we will update these terms before it starts, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement first.

7. Ads

Sawfa shows no ads and does not let anyone advertise through it. The apps and sites you open from Sawfa may show their own ads; we do not control them.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Sawfa working, but cannot promise it is always available or free of errors, or that a site will let Sawfa load its title and picture. We may add, change or remove features. If we stop offering Sawfa, we will say so in advance on the website.

9. Disclaimers

Sawfa is provided “as is” and “as available”. Titles, pictures, icons and source names come from the sites themselves and may be missing, wrong or different from what the page shows now. A reminder may be late or may not sound if your phone’s settings, battery saver or Android stop it, or if you do not allow Alarms & reminders. Sawfa is not a backup: do not rely on it as the only place you keep a link you need. As far as the law allows, we do not promise that Sawfa meets your needs or is free of errors. Nothing here limits consumer rights that the law protects.

10. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as a missed reminder or lost saved links, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or 50 US dollars. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us exclude.

11. Ending

You can stop using Sawfa at any time by uninstalling it; this deletes everything it keeps on your phone. We may stop offering Sawfa, or stop offering it to you if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law requires it. Sections 5, 9, 10, 12 and 14 still apply after you stop.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and disputes go to the courts of Amman, Jordan. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there where those laws allow it.

13. Changes to these terms

When we update these terms we change the date above, and we tell you on this page and in the app’s release notes at least 30 days before important changes take effect. If you keep using Sawfa after that, you accept them; if not, you can stop using it.

14. Saved pages and other apps and sites

  • Saved pages belong to their owners. The pages, titles, pictures, icons and names Sawfa shows belong to their owners. Sawfa loads them from the site when you save a link, keeps a small copy on your phone, and shows it only to you, in the app and in your reminders. Sawfa never uploads, publishes or shares it, and we never receive it. Use what Sawfa shows for your own personal use, and do not copy, publish or reuse it beyond what its owner or the law allows.
  • Not affiliated. Sawfa is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the apps and sites it shows. Their names and icons belong to their owners and are shown only to tell you where a link came from. Icons come from the apps installed on your phone or from the site itself.
  • Videos. For a video link, Sawfa shows its picture with a play mark, but never plays or downloads the video.
  • Opening a link. When you open a saved link, Sawfa hands it to the matching app or your browser. What you see there, and that app’s or site’s terms, privacy policy and ads, are theirs, not ours, and we are not responsible for them.
  • Open-source parts. Sawfa includes open-source software and fonts under their own licences, listed in Settings > About. Those licences govern those parts.
